GOLD RUSH

Hello and talofa lava.

Today we are writing a blog about the Gold Rush, we have been learning why golds value is high and who was the first European person to find gold. Gold was the most valuables treasure in the 1960s and the 1970s until know and forevermore so as diamonds but gold is most valuable, if you are reading my blog please make sure to comment thank you.

Gold is valuable because it is rare and attractive to people. If you are looking for alluvial gold you can find it in rocks once they are worn to sand or gravel. If you ask a miner were gold is found they would properly say this where it be there it be. The gold mines are in this region Otago, Southland, West cost, Gold bay, Marlborough, Coromandel peninsula. Gold is a rare element because it is inserted very heavy, shiny, malleable. The first Europen prison to find gold in Aotearoa was Charles ring and he found it in Driving creek in 1852. This is the amount of gold found from these places 312 tonnes was from the Coromandel peninsula 274 tonnes was from the west coast and 265 was from Otago. This was the years that the gold rushes in these regions Otago was in 1861, Coromandel was in 1852, Golden Bay was in 1856 and finally, West cost was in 1864. There were three booms that were in production there were two big ones and one small one of them was on the 1860s one of them was on the 1870s and the small one was on the 1980s
