Week 9 Do Now

 Hello everyone today we are writing about Being abler to be confident when public speaking is an important life skill. This is very true because people really need this in their lives. It helps them in times of need like when they are told to speak in front of class or school I am not saying that you will get picked but sometimes will be so yeah you should be ready for that day, and ready for that day to speak. We children need this because we are the future of mankind this could help one day sooner or later. Reserch says Public speaking improves young people's overall communication skills, increases self-esteem and confidence, plans and organize their thoughts, expresses their ideas in front of the class, and develops leadership skills. ... It is an essential skill to learn and master. So yeah I hope you see my point of view, and also please comment on my blog.

Week 8 Do now

 Hello everyone today we are doing another do now. So our topic for today is that Matariki should be a public holiday. This statement is agreed with by me because we should all celebrate what a new year it is because after covid people need more time to chill and think about how much the mother earth has taken care of us so yeah we all need to celebrate Matariki. It is special to Maori in this country and it should be to us too. I forgot to say this but HAPPY MATARIKI WEEK. Week 8 Do now

 Hello everyone welcome back today we are doing another do now we haven't done one for a long time because we had to finish off some work. But today's topic is the most important subject to learn in school. So I politely disagree because in New Zealand there is more than one language spoken not including the pacific languages. They are Sign language, English, and Maori. This is why English is not an important language. All the languages are important and special in ways. We want all the other languages above to be taught in school. I know Maori is being taught but the sign is not so they should be taught more often in schools so yeah I hope you see my point of view Please comment if you agree with me. Distillation

 Hello everyone today we are writing a blog about our experiment. Evaporating is what is when a substance gets heated up and turns heated up and gets from liquid to gas. We are also going to start that experiment today.

I saw pubbles witch came out of the cocacola because it was being boiled. We also saw some smoke or should I say a lot of smoke. It just came out and it smelled like sugar. The cocoke looked very clear. Not like the reculare cocoke.  It evaporated and then got condessened. We had an hour to finish all of this and we still have more time. We used 8 equipments they were in the baiology equipment.

Debating.

 Kia ora Koutou Katoa and welcome to a new week. Today we are writing a blog about Debating and its definition. There is more than one word I will be looking at today. These words are pros vs Cons, proposition, Opposition, and Order of debate. Here are some of their definition

• Debate- It is a form of discussion that always ends up with a vote. 

• Pros vs Cons- The pros and cons of something are its advantages and disadvantages, which you consider carefully so that you can make a sensible decision. They sat for hours debating the pros and cons of setting up their own firm.

• Proposition-A statement or assertion that expresses a judgment or opinion.a suggested scheme or plan of action, especially in a business context.

• Opposition-It is resistance or dissent, expressed in action or argument.

 Good afternoon everyone today we are writing a blog post about another topic in the Hornby High School behavior system 4 Learning.  One of my options is to be ready for learning. It because I would be ready by charging my Chromebook and bringing my charger just in case. Another is to do my personal best.  Also, my other one is to Believe in myself. Always use good manners during class.

I also have some options I didn't highlight are have a growth mind and Remain focussed. I am going to work on both this by challenging myself and remaining focused by doing something else.
