Filtering

 Hello everyone we are learning about filtering. What is filtering It is separating things that are a different size. 

Aim To Separate a solution from a precipitate (precipitate is the name for a solid that forms in a liquid during a chemical reaction)

Method

  1. Pour approximately 50mL of copper sulfate solution into a beaker.

2. Add the same volume of sodium carbonate solution. A reaction will happen, you should see a cloudy blue precipitate form. Called copper carbonate. 

3. Watch demo then fold filter paper to fit inside the funnel

4. Place the funnel with the filter paper inside of it, into the mouth of a conical flask. 

5. Stir the mixture in the beaker, then carefully pour it into the funnel. 

6. Observe what happened.

I saw the blue and copa stuff funell in the filter paper and it turned clear as class. I have but some pictures down below. Beacause it was being filtered.

 Why is Jacida Adern Influential

Why is Jaida Adern influesional. It is because of her response to the crisis in New Zealand and her personal life. She is one of New Zealand’s youngest prime ministers ever in our history. She has many voters and followers. She is really kind and loves children. She started when she was 18. She worked for Prime minister Helen Clark and used to work for the London government within the parliament house. She was the 3rd woman prime minister of New Zealand. She has been head of opposition for five years so far. She has really changed the country.

She has started a program called free kai. All the government schools in New Zealand have got free launches. She offered this when she got voted for the fifth time. All the schools get a lot of money from the government to complete this program. The amount of money that goes into this food program is $14.1 billion. That is like for 1.1milion children. This is why she is loved by children and parents because. This project covers two people: the child and the parent and because it helps parents save money on buying lunches. We all want her to be our mother, don’t we?. She has helped a lot of children with educational needs. I hope you see why I think that Jacinda Adern is influential and the best prime minister that a country can get.

Hello, my name is EJ Coffin, and I am going to talk about some special holidays in my country. The first one I am going to talk about is Independence day. This day is celebrated on the second of June. This is celebrated because it marks the day that New Zealand disowned us. It is also about the blood loss that Samoa went through to fight for freedom. The second one is Mother’s Day. It is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. We celebrated this because it celebrates mothers of their service and all that they did.  Rugby is the definitive sport in New Zealand. I agree with this statement it was a lot of talk in class the teacher was very annoyed. I really agree with it. I am sorry I did not have time to finished.

Chemistry.

 Hello everyone today we did an experiment. I have learned that Ice is not a solvent, That my theory has been wrong all along. This is something that is soluble in water sugar, salt, flour, paper. Here are some examples of unsoluble rock, sand, desk, class. How to quickly dissolve sugar etc is to stir it or shake, or just poil. We had three conical flasks one of them had cold one of them had hot water, and hot water is stirred. The fastest method of dissolving stuff is to stir and boil.

Gratitude Journal

Hello everyone today I am doing a gratitude diary and I also want to thank my people that have commented on my blogs. I have a lot to be thankful for but they only want us to do 5. So that's what I did. It is so amazing what we can do here. Here are some things that I am thankful for.

•  I am grateful for my teachers and how much they have helped me for two years in total and without them, I wouldn't be the person I am now.
•  I am grateful for my family and what they have done for me it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here.
• I'm so grateful for my sports chouch cause they have helped me with a lot of my P.E classes.
• Thank you to my aunties and uncles for helping me in every single camp that I needed help with.
• I am thankful to our prime minister for the free lunches and our schooling.

WEEK 4 Do Now:

 Schools should have more mufti days.  I agree with this opinion. You want to know why? because students need to have a break from school uniforms more often. We always say that school uniforms should be compulsory but if we don't want that we can have more mufti days like as soon as next09 year. We should all have changed to our school system like more mufti days. Some people have complained that the uniforms are annoying or they are hot. I am confident that this school needs more mufti days I know that some people in this school would appreciate that. This should be a matter that the countries education system should consider. I hope you see my point my sid of view please I am serious. THIS SCHOOL NEEDS MORE MUFTI DAYS. I want this to happen very soon.

Week 3 Do now

 Hello everyone today our topic is Cats are better than dogs. This I do not agree with the topic. Do you want to know because are better at protecting people and also dogs are called man's best friend! We have had dogs for centuries and centuries we all want to have different respective from mine dogs are better I am sorry but comment under my blog which you think is better. I have had 30 dogs in total with 8 more to come but here in New Zealand in my homeland of Samoa. Dogs are hard to clean after but they are cuter the cat. They are also smarter than the cats

Drawing in pairs

Hello everyone today we were drawing with our pairs. I had to draw a picture of a town. Sadly we were out of time. But I showed me my picture it was a mustang. It and we had to fill in a form it's called Harrisons model. The IP skill that I used today was body language. Using this IP skill helped my partner with her drawing. This helped with the activity because I had to so that my partner wouldn't be lonely. Today I worked well with Vanshika. An example of when we worked well together was us having fun and she kinda understands me. If I got to do the activity again, I would give more facts about the picture to my partner. I worked at level 3 of Hellison's Behaviour Model. Examples of what I did to show that I worked at this level are Undertake to learn and practice.

Week 2 Do Now.

School uniforms should not be mandatory.

I do not agree with the statement. Why you ask? Because without uniform you would not be known of labeled. When you get hit by a car you will have your uniform to label or help find contact. We also need uniforms because so that people can tell our school apart from others. When you don't have to wear the uniform you find it hard to find a different outfit to wear every day. We also want to look smart and look proud of our school. 

Hope you agree with my side of view and please SCHOOL UNIFORMS SHOULD BE MANDATORY.

 Good evening ladies and gentlemen today we are blogging about our work in DTE the last term. We have been creating a gamer on gamefroot.com. But the sad I got kicked out of my GameFroot account. So I can't provide you with proof. I am really sorry. I will provide you with facts. My game was about Taika Waititi battling some of the people in one of his movies. These people are Julian Denison, Sam Neil, Rachel House. But that is enough recounting. This game was created only for one reason entirely that this game was for was a Digital tec project. Rat Dissection.

 Hello, today we are going to write a blog post about how we dissected a rat this rat was from the NZ science labs. This rat didn't have color and their eyes were red. We cut through the belly and we saw the heart and its lungs we also saw its kidneys its organs were very tiny they look so little that even a stick was bigger. Week two- Do Know

 Elephants are the greatest animals of all time.

I agree with this statement because elephants have been in the world for a long time but not has one species like mammoth, and others. Elephants are magnificent creatures they have a lifetime of 60-70 years but an Asian Elephant lives only up to 48 yrs. I hope you see my point of view.

                     School holidays must be one week long                               

I  think that school holidays should one-week-long because we students have to come to school for eleven weeks and we don't have enough time to rest our minds. We also need time to spend with our whanau's because we are like animals they need breaks during winter. So do we, also it's better to give us more time to relax and it's better for our wellbeing.
